As Petaluma continues to evolve as a cultural destination, we can thank the local galleries for holding such energizing exhibits & receptions for our local talent. This weekend we have 2 opportunities to take in some wonderful artistic culture at Aurora Colors Gallery & Gallery One. Both galleries have receptions on Saturday, January 24th, 2009.

Linda & Michael Gonzalez of Gallery One, at 209 Western, are the cornerstones of our art presence in Petaluma, having celebrated 20 years in business last year, Gallery One is one of Petaluma’s longest running galleries. Join them Saturday, January 24th 5:30 – 7:30pm for their artist reception celebrating “Winter Light”.

Vangie & Lyndon Pullins of Aurora Colors Gallery have done a great job over the last year of retrofitting their gallery space to accommodate significantly more art for their shows. If you haven’t been in to see what they have done with part of the old Opera House at 145 Kentucky, I recommend a visit tomorrow evening, Saturday, January 24th, 6:30-8:30pm. The show is called “Senses and Sensuality”, thru March 1, 2009. Reception: . Photography and original paintings that appeal to our sensual side and will be presented in the second floor gallery space.
