Aurora Colors Gallery Activities on Dec 6th Open House

Petaluma’s Open House Downtown is Dec. 6, 10am-7pm and Dec. 7, 10am-6pm.
Please join Aurora Colors for two demonstrations on Saturday, Dec. 6th.
From 1:30-3pm meet our new Certified Precious Metal Clay instructor, Mary Neuer Lee. Learn about this clay made of molecular-sized particles of fine silver, the classes she will begin on Jan. 17th at Aurora Colors, and enter a free raffle to win $35 worth of PMC. It can be formed, carved, stamped, folded and molded, formed with fused stained glass and may even be set with stones! Mary has been a metal artist since 1969 and is an advanced PMC Instructor and member of the PMC Guild. Her own jewelry will also be available for sale.
We will have a hands-on silk painting demonstration from 4:30-5:30pm, hosted by Michelle Sottile-Smith, a Petaluma artist returning to Aurora Colors for a 2nd holiday season. Watch or experience this soothing art form. Participants ages 12 and up will paint an ocean theme on a 72″ by 15″ charmeuse silk scarf using sponges and brushes. All may enter a free raffle for the scarf. Michelle has been creating art to wear for many years and is already offering her painted silk and velvet scarves with gorgeous foil prints in our gift shop.
