Aurora Colors to head art for kids at Sesquifest
by admin
This July 4th you and your family are invited to a huge community event at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds – Petaluma’s Sesquifest in celebration of our town’s 150th birthday. There is also a short video link at the end of this note.
We thank you, our friends and customers, by offering various activities to you and our community throughout the year:
Free presentations, historical and art related.
Annual art shows by Petaluma youths – art is not for sale.
Sponsoring or assisting with youth art projects around town.
Discounted glass art classes for school groups or individual students.
We are honored to have been invited by the Sesquicentennial Committee to provide Free Kids Art Activities at the Sesquifest. From 3 to 5pm, your children have these activities to choose from:
Decorate a wooden egg – it has a hemp hanger, too.
Make a necklace with chickens or patriotic beads.
Decorate your own visor cap – several colors to choose from.
Crayon coloring – chickens and Sesquicentennial logo and exhibit them in Aurora Colors Gallery window from July 7-9
Make an oragami patriotic egg
Kathryn Graham Wilson of Cats and Dragons Art Studio in Petaluma has joined us in providing these activities. We need 2 or 3 more volunteers – if interested, please call Vangie at 799-7099.
