When Stanley Mouse was the speaker at the Petaluma Valley Rotary last December, Old Adobe School District Superintendent, Diane Zimmerman, asked Mouse if he would be willing to donate a sketch of a chicken running for their t-shirt design. The master painter, whose fine art oil paintings are on display at Pelican Art Gallery, gladly obliged with a very cute chicken in red athletic shoes.

The t-shirt was part of the draw to the 4th annual Petaluma Footrace, an event originally conceived and implemented by several students.

The primary sponsor, Athleta, a woman’s athletic apparel company based here in Petaluma, came through in flying colors with after race water & treats. Diane and her team can be very proud to have established such a successful annual event for local runners, walkers & supporters of the schools. Well Done!
