Call For Entries: “Petaluma Pride – 150 Years”

Through the cooperation of the Petaluma Arts Association
and the Petaluma Arts Council
April 11 through May 3, 2008
Reception Friday, April 18, 2008 5-8pm

The exhibit will be at the historic 1906 Carnegie Library located at 4th
and B streets. The show runs in conjunction with History Week and Butter
and Egg Days. The parade theme this year is Petaluma’s 150th birthday.
The show will be juried. Awards will be presented.
Delivery of artwork is on Tuesday, April 8th, 10:00 a.m. to noon and
5:00-7:00 p.m.
Pick up on Monday, May 5th, 10:00 a.m. to noon and 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Open to all members of the community.
$5.00 entry fee per artist — for up to 4 entries per artist.
All work must be your own original design.
All media that portray any part of the past 150 years of Petaluma History
will be considered.
All work must be properly framed. Unframed canvas must have edges painted
and nailed from behind. Hanging artwork must be securely wired and ready
for hanging. Please provide a pedestal for sculpture.
Wet or unfinished work will not be accepted.
Accepted work must be on view for the duration of the exhibit.
All work must be for sale.
All sales transactions will be strictly between artist and buyer.
In lieu of commission, a 15% tax-deductible donation to the Petaluma
Museum Association is requested.
Application deadline, postmarked by March 18, 2008
Acceptance notices will be emailed by March 24, 2008.

Please send photograph or slide of specific works to be entered. Include
size of piece (including frame), medium, title, your name, address, phone
number, and email address. Make checks payable to The Petaluma Museum
Association (PMA). You must include an SASE for return of photographs.
