Aurora Colors Gallery is seeking visual art associated with fantasy, mythology, rituals, and other roots of the mysterious. From all places in the world, one finds reference to the elements of ritual and survival that our traditions are based upon. This exhibition will include artists whose work is based on these ancient rites and rituals, and its reflection in the contemporary world. Up to 12 entries by one artist may be retained by the Gallery for the exhibit – dimensions of artwork are a factor, i.e. wearable art, small 3D artwork. All artists working in any medium, 2D or 3D, including fine jewelry are invited to apply (except video or installation.) The gallery prefers one-of-a-kind originals crafted by the artist, though limited editions of an original work by the artist may be accepted. Art must be signed (back of work is sufficient.) This exhibition is open to all artists age 18 and older. All work submitted for review must be for sale.

Artist’s reception is a masquerade party as well. It’s on All Saints Day! All wearable art worn during the reception and made by an exhibiting Artist is considered promotional and falls under the terms of this Agreement unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. Early removal of work before the end of the show will not be considered. However, purchased wearable art may be removed from the exhibit by purchaser upon full payment. We will encourage purchasers to wear purchased art to the reception and masquerade party.

Maximum size: 60 inches in any direction or 50 lbs in weight. Minimum size for photography prints is 11″ x 14″. Wall hung artwork must be TIGHTLY wired for hanging. Wearable art, such as masks or accessories may be displayed or hung without wires.

The gallery will curate a juried exhibition, with catalogue and gallery journal, on this theme. Accepted artwork may have stationery cards and/or up to two prints of each accepted art work may be placed for sale in bins. Details will be provided upon notification of acceptance.

Entry Fee: $30 payable to Aurora Colors for 1-3 images, $5 for each additional. Entry fees are due upon submission.
