This year has dealt several heart wrenching loses for me personally. In March, we lost a wonderful artist – JoAnn Naylor – to cancer, in April we lost an outstanding humanitarian – John Strong – to complications from parkinson’s disease, earlier this month we lost our downtown friend – Le Doyle – to cancer.

Thanks to Haus Fortuna’s Karla Schikore & the Petaluma Downtown Association (PDA), this weekend will be assisting to raise funds for several local non-profit organizations.

On Mother’s day, Petaluma lost a wonderful resident and downtown fixture, Lee Doyle. Lee stopped by most days on his rounds of the downtown businesses. His 30 years of being a cable car gripman in San Francisco ensured great stories that were always fun & interesting. He loved to tell the stories of his Army days in Germany. He appreciated art, especially of women. …
