I had a chance to wander around downtown this afternoon and stopped in on Gallery One and Boomerang Gallery. The “Think Green” show at Gallery One has a very fun, eclectic range of art. Some artists interpreted the theme as ‘it needs to be green’, while others stuck to the recycle aspect of the theme using found objects to create something new. Well worth checking out. …

Last Saturday, many of the business owners downtown were treated to the private reception at the newest gallery in Petaluma, the Dimensions Galleria at 115 Petaluma Blvd North. The new show at Gallery One features art made from all different types of recycled materials. Whether it be previous paintings, found items, things from the recycle bin, the art is definitely worth seeing!

I hope you had a chance to wander downtown last Sunday for the Art & Garden Festival. It was a fantastic crowd with beautiful weather. Again, the Petaluma Downtown Association (PDA) put on a wonderful community event showcasing our local artists, restaurants, farmers, garden shops, wineries & breweries.
