I was at the Gallery until near midnight last night finalizing the list of student art. Yesterday the local high school teachers brought in a couple hundred pieces of art from their current students. All the gallery owners and downtown merchants participating in this Saturday’s Art Walk were blown away by the quality of work.

Earlier today, Thursday, Feb 18th, members of the International Gay & Lesbian Tourism Association gathered at the first stop of their Petaluma Familiarization “Fam” tour. The downtown merchants, in particular several gay & lesbian owned business owners, rolled out the red carpet to tout Petaluma as a fantastic cultural destination. This was part of a multi-day tour of the County with the Sonoma County Tourism Bureau.

Hope everyone is planning some time downtown tomorrow (Saturday, Dec 5th). We’ve got the Downtown Open House & Go Local Shopping Crawl during the day.
The lighted boat parade will shove off from the Marina (Sheraton) at 5:30pm and should arrive at the Turning Basin at 6pm.

This Saturday, December 5th is a great day to plan a trip Downtown. It is the annual Petaluma Downtown Association (PDA) Holiday Open House. Plenty of special things happening like carolers & horse drawn carriages.

I already posted about the Art Walk tomorrow night (11/13 5 -8pm).
